Gifts for Dating and Relationship Building
from:Gifts are fun to give and receive when you’re dating and building relationships. And you sure don’t want to take your mate or spouse for granted as holidays came around. So here are some ideas to get your creativity juices running in the gift department, regardless of the holiday.
Flowers – Fresh floral arrangements are always a welcome treat for men and women. You can send them in a vase or gift package. Add candy and a special note card with your personal note as an added touch. You can also opt for a plant or dried floral arrangement arranged with ribbons and a bow in the favorite colors of the recipient.
Candy – Chocolate is a good standby for candy-giving. Gourmet chocolate is special, too. If the recipient can’t have sugar, there is even sugar-free chocolate available. You can also order in different colors, shapes, sizes and tastes, so check around to suit your budget – and lover!
Clothing – A nice tie or scarf can make a nice gift for any occasion, so can warm winter pajamas, a robe and slippers. Keep you eyes out for favorite colors and sizes to jot down BEFORE holiday times roll around. Then always keep them handy in your wallet.
Dinner and a Movie – Dining establishment and movie theaters often sell gift certificates well in advance of holidays. So plan ahead and purchase some certificates for a night out of fun. Also call ahead for birthday and other special occasion cakes and treats that may be available.
Gift Cards – If you don’t know what to buy or want to at least be prepared for any occasion, head to your local bank and pick up a VISA or Mastercard loaded with the limit you choose to spend.
Some drug stores are beginning to carry these, now, too. The cashier simply keys in the amount you spend on the credit card. Then slip the card into a small gift card that comes with it and give away for any occasion to spend nearly anywhere.
Hint: Too many people think that once they’re married, that’s it in the gift department and it’s not, or rather shouldn’t be. So once you get married, still remember to give gifts! Of course they can be more intimate, but they really don’t have to be. They just need to ‘be’ and be special. Add a special love message and give with a kiss, for instance.
